Note1:  There are two versions of the firmware depending upon which CPU is used in your decoder.  Open the box and read the numbers on the 28 pin chip to determine which CPU you have.  Flashing the wrong code will crash your product.

Note2:  Not all GENr8s are flashable.  If you have firmware version 4.0 or higher, you may be able to flash your unit with newer firmware.    Older GENr8s, including some version 4.0 units, may not have a bootloader.  Those units require a chip swap.  Contact us at 352-335-6555 if you want to upgrade.

Note3:  Use only software written for your current version of the firmware.  Using software from a different version can cause data to be incorrectly written, crashing the unit or causing it to malfunction. 

Note4: GENr8 firmware version 4.0 has been superceeded by version 5.0.
